European cooperation reinforces transnational mobility and training in the fields of street arts and contemporary circus.
Bússola has two cooperation projects in which it is involved to be supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe program. On the one hand, Bússola will lead the project BETA CIRCUS – Boosting European Trends and Artists in Circus Arts and, on the other, will be the link to Portugal, as an associate partner, of the (UN)COMMON SPACES project, led by Lieux Publics (FR).
BETA CIRCUS will promote new trends, supporting European training and mobility for the contemporary circus. Bússola will coordinate this European project, only possible with the support of 23 Milhas (Ílhavo), through LEME. The range of partners crosses the European continent, involving Teatro Necessario (Italy), Ludifico (Serbia) and Rigas Cirks (Latvia). In order to disseminate good practices and promote broader European-wide involvement, several associated partners will collaborate in different contexts across Europe.
(UN)COMMON SPACES aims to support the growth of the street arts sector on a European scale, with the aim of reinventing the relationship between the cultural sector and civil society. The project will bring together a circle of artists and a circle of citizens, in a collaborative model for sharing experiences, knowledge, artistic vision and plurality of perspectives. Resulting from the experience of In Situ – European Platform for Artistic Creation in Public Space, the project involves 19 partners and 12 associate partners, representing 21 countries.
Both projects will start in the last quarter of 2020, actively stimulating the European street arts and contemporary circus sector in the coming years.

A Bússola viu dois projetos de cooperação em que está envolvida serem apoiados pelo programa Europa Criativa da União Europeia. Por um lado, irá liderar o projeto BETA CIRCUS – Boosting European Trends and Artists in Circus Arts e, por outro, será a ligação a Portugal, enquanto parceiro associado, do projeto (UN)COMMON SPACES, liderado pelo Lieux Publics (FR).
BETA CIRCUS irá promover as novas tendências, apoiando a formação e mobilidade europeia para o circo contemporâneo. A Bússola irá coordenar este projeto europeu, apenas possível com o apoio do 23 Milhas (Ílhavo), através do LEME. O leque de parceiros cruza o continente europeu, envolvendo o Teatro Necessário (Itália), o Ludifico (Sérvia) e Rigas Cirks (Letónia). Com o objetivo de disseminar boas práticas e promover um envolvimento mais amplo à escala europeia, diversos parceiros associados irão colaborar em diferentes contextos por toda a europa.
(UN)COMMON SPACES visa apoiar o crescimento do setor das artes de rua à escala europeia, com o objetivo de reinventar a relação entre o setor cultural e a sociedade civil. O projeto reunirá um círculo de artistas e um círculo de cidadãos, num modelo colaborativo para a partilha de experiências, conhecimentos, visão artística e pluralidade de perspetivas. Resultante da experiência da In Situ – European Platform for Artistic Creation in Public Space, o projeto envolve 19 parceiros e 12 parceiros associados, em representação de 21 países.
Ambos os projetos terão início no último quadrimestre de 2020, dinamizando ativamente o setor das artes de rua e circo contemporâneo europeu nos próximos anos.
